Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Cleaning Circle Limited ("Cleaning Circle", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Swiftly mobile application ("Swiftly" or the "App").

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we process through the Swiftly mobile App.

This policy does not apply to:

  • Third-party websites, services, or applications that may be linked from the App or our support pages, unless we state otherwise.
  • Information collected offline or through channels other than the App, except where we tell you this policy applies.

Swiftly is intended for professional cleaners working with Cleaning Circle and, in limited pre-login flows, prospective customers requesting cleaning services. The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.


3. Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you provide directly, that is generated when you use the App, and that we receive from service providers where necessary to operate the App.

We do not collect payment card numbers, debit or credit card details, or billing addresses through the App. Swiftly does not allow users to make purchases or complete payments within the App.

We do not ask you to provide your age through the App, and we do not operate a separate marketing newsletter opt-in inside the App.

3.2 Information Shown to Cleaners About Clients and Jobs

To provide the cleaning service, Swiftly may show cleaners information about scheduled work that relates to third parties, such as:

This information is provided so cleaners can perform assigned work. It should be used only for work-related purposes.

We do not currently use third-party traffic analytics tools such as Google Analytics within the App.

3.4 Information from Device Permissions

With your permission, the App may access:

We do not access your device contacts through the App.

You can manage or revoke device permissions through your device settings. Some App features may not work properly if required permissions are disabled. If location permission is denied, check-in and check-out may still proceed without location coordinates.

If you upload or capture photos through the App, we process those images and related metadata as part of providing the service. This may include filenames, file size, photo type (such as before or after), timestamps, and association with a session or job.

Photos may be stored in secure cloud storage and accessed through time-limited links when needed to display or manage the images.

3.6 Reports, Pay Information, and Notifications

Depending on how you use the App, we may also process:

These figures are displayed for operational and reporting purposes. They are not in-app payment processing.

3.7 Information Stored on Your Device

The App may store information locally on your device to keep you signed in and improve performance, including:

  • Basic account and profile details
  • Language preference
  • Cached agenda, session, report, and related work data

This local storage is used for App functionality and is cleared when you log out, subject to your device and operating system behavior.


4. How We Collect Information

We collect personal information through:

  • Cleaner account login, password reset, and first-time password setup
  • Cleaner email sign-up
  • Pre-login cleaning service enquiries submitted through the Request a Cleaner form
  • Your use of App features, including agenda, availability, check-in/check-out, photo upload, reports, and in-app notifications
  • Support requests sent by email, phone, or through our support page
  • Authentication and security processes operated through our backend infrastructure
  • Local storage and session mechanisms used to keep you signed in and maintain App functionality

We do not use digital analytics software such as Google Analytics to measure App traffic. We do not use advertising technologies, retargeting, the Facebook pixel, cookies, or web beacons within the App for tracking or advertising purposes.


5. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

5.1 To Provide and Operate the App

  • Creating, reviewing, and managing cleaner accounts
  • Authenticating users and maintaining secure sessions
  • Displaying your agenda, sessions, availability, reports, and in-app notifications
  • Enabling check-in, check-out, and location-verified work activities
  • Processing and storing photos you upload or capture through the App
  • Displaying earnings and work-performance information to cleaners
  • Handling cleaning service enquiries submitted before login
  • Responding to support requests and service enquiries

5.2 To Communicate With You

  • Sending service-related messages about your account, onboarding, password reset, or use of the App
  • Sending operational emails related to cleaning enquiries or cleaner sign-up review
  • Responding to questions submitted through our support channels

We do not currently operate a separate in-app marketing newsletter opt-in. Service-related communications necessary to operate your account or provide the App may still be sent.

5.3 To Maintain Security and Integrity

  • Detecting, preventing, and investigating misuse, fraud, unauthorized access, or abusive submission patterns
  • Applying rate limits to public enquiry and sign-up flows
  • Troubleshooting, auditing, and improving the reliability of the App
  • Enforcing our terms and protecting the rights, safety, and property of Cleaning Circle, our users, and others
  • Responding to lawful requests from regulators, courts, or law enforcement where required
  • Maintaining records where necessary to meet applicable legal duties

We do not use your personal information to show third-party advertisements in the App, and we do not sell your personal information.


If you are located in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we process your personal information on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, as applicable:

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. If you withdraw consent for a feature that requires it, that feature may no longer be available.


7. Local Storage, Sessions, and Similar Technologies

Swiftly uses local storage, secure storage, and session-based mechanisms to:

  • Keep you signed in where appropriate
  • Remember language and other preferences needed for App functionality
  • Maintain secure authentication state
  • Cache recent work data such as sessions, reports, and session details for performance

These technologies are used for operational and security purposes. They are not used for third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, or analytics measurement.

Because Swiftly is a mobile application, it does not use website cookies or web beacons in the same way a browser-based site might.


8. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share personal information only as described below.

8.1 Service Providers

We use trusted third-party providers to help us operate the App. These providers process personal information on our instructions and only as needed to provide their services to us. Based on our current App configuration, categories of providers may include:

These providers are permitted to use personal information only to perform services for us and must protect it in line with applicable data protection law and contractual obligations.

We do not currently use Pusher or similar realtime advertising/analytics platforms in the live Swiftly backend environment.

8.2 Direct Uploads to Cloud Storage

When you upload work photos, your device may send image files directly to secure cloud storage using a time-limited upload link provided by our backend. Metadata about the upload is then confirmed through our API.

We may disclose personal information where we believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • Enforce our agreements or protect our legal rights
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of Cleaning Circle, our users, or others
  • Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues

8.4 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will take reasonable steps to ensure any recipient continues to protect personal information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.


9. International Data Transfers

Cleaning Circle is based in the United Kingdom. Some of our service providers may process personal information in countries outside the United Kingdom and European Economic Area, including the United States and other countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country.

Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as:

  • Standard contractual clauses approved by relevant authorities
  • Other lawful transfer mechanisms recognized under applicable data protection law

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Retention periods depend on factors such as:

  • Whether the information is needed to provide the App
  • Whether the information relates to assigned work, photos, reports, enquiries, or sign-up review
  • Legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements
  • The need to resolve disputes or enforce agreements
  • Security and fraud-prevention needs

When personal information is no longer required, we will delete it or anonymize it in a manner designed to prevent identification, unless we are legally required to keep it for longer.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

These measures may include access controls, authentication safeguards, encryption where appropriate, secure cloud infrastructure, presigned upload links with limited lifetimes, and internal policies limiting access to personal information on a need-to-know basis.

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.


12. Your Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the following rights in relation to your personal information:

We will respond within the time required by applicable law. In the UK, this is generally one month, which may be extended in complex cases.

12.2 Service Communications

Swiftly may send service-related communications that are necessary to operate your account or provide the App, such as login, onboarding, password reset, enquiry handling, or account-related messages. These communications are separate from promotional marketing and are not an opt-in newsletter program inside the App.

12.3 Supervisory Authority

If you are in the United Kingdom, you may contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):

13. Children's Privacy

Swiftly is not offered to users under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to investigate and delete that information where appropriate.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the App, legal requirements, or operational needs.

When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice within the App or by other appropriate means.

Your continued use of the App after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you accept the revised policy, unless applicable law requires a different form of consent.


16. Additional Information for App Store Users

Apple App Store

If you download Swiftly from the Apple App Store, Apple may collect information from you in connection with your use of the App Store. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's own privacy policy, not this Privacy Policy.

Google Play

If you download Swiftly from Google Play, Google may collect information from you in connection with your use of Google Play services. Google's handling of that information is governed by Google's own privacy policy, not this Privacy Policy.

In each case, Cleaning Circle remains responsible for personal information we collect and process through the App, except where a platform provider processes information independently for its own purposes.


This Privacy Policy is provided for transparency and compliance purposes. It is intended to meet common expectations for mobile app privacy disclosures, including requirements relevant to app distribution on Google Play and the Apple App Store, and to reflect GDPR-oriented privacy rights for users in the United Kingdom and European Economic Area.
